“Dreaming of being the best with sparkling star struggles”

a process is a determinant for someone to get the desired result, so many processes and trips that I go through. at the beginning of a beautiful year for me, I got an amazing process from SEA – Teacher batch 7. a process that teaches me the meaning of maturity, being a professional, and being someone who wants to proceed to become a sparkling star.

What is SEA- TEACHER ?

              cropped-sea.png

The SEA Teacher Project or the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a project that aims to provide the opportunity for pre-service student teacher from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia.

Based on the SEAMEO seven priority areas for the eleven SEAMEO Member countries to work toegether to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia, “Revitalizing Teacher Education” is one of the priority areas in building and strengthening capacity of teacher in the region.

The exchange is preferably for 4th year student whose major are in math, science, English and pre-school. The duration is for one month and based on the mechanism of cost sharing basis. Student’ roles responsibilities are assigned weekly during the one month period (observe, assist in teaching, teach and reflect). Moreover, the most universities will provide mentors to supervise and monitor the students throughout the practicum period

(I just copy and paste it from SEATEACHER Official website, if you want to read more you can read it here )

What is SEAMEO?

Departure Day to Indonesia

Monday, Febuary 4th 2019

Doen Meung International Airport, Thailand

Departure to Indonesia

Honestly, today is the hardest day for me, I will miss Thailand so much, for a month I have gone through an incessant process to improve my quality. I will miss a million memories, both from the family of Nip’s mother, the best of friends of Thailand, and memories together with friends of Sea-Teacher Batch 7 participants.

My departure to Indonesia received a schedule of 3:00 p.m., so I was escorted by VRU at 11:00 Am. before that, my friend had left to go back to Indonesia at 2:00 am, so that me and the other friends were the 4th groups to be escorted by VRU to the airport.

we departed from VRU at 11:00 Am, and about 45 minutes we arrived at Doen – Meung International airport. I am not alone, I happen to be with my friend from Indonesia on the same plane and the same flight hours, namely Thai Lion Air SL 114 and at 03:00 pm.

after arriving at the airport, we rushed to tidy up our luggage, and say the last greeting but not the last. we say to Aj. Katisak, who is also Nutter (Thai Student from VRU), who has ushered us, is sad that it must be a feeling that has never been blocked in our minds. We hope that someday we will return to Thailand to greet the atmosphere of our longing because of Sea Batch 7.

Today’s agenda is an entertainment and farewell event for us before returning to our home country and the area where we live, each country giving cultural offerings to show and I also contributed my voice in showing the art of my region, namely Banten province. I sang my regional song entitled “Jereh Bu Guruh” which means “Teacher’s word”, this song tells the story of a teacher who has a big contribution in determining national character and discipline early on.

Performances by participants in batch 7 have been shown, either from Indonesia or the Philippines. the last appearance was the appearance of Thai students in closing the farewell party and cultural exchange program today. sad that tomorrow we will all return to our respective countries and hometowns. I myself have souvenirs that I brought from Indonesia, so I gave them to my colleagues, Thai students, the mentors too.

MY HOLIDAY’S IN THAILAND – PART 3

” CHATUCAK MARKET”

Sunday, January 27 2019

My holiday in the third week is to go back to Chatucak. Yes, after last weeks shopping for food and was quite tired, I couldn’t explore everything. This week, I and Kyn went back to Chatucak to buy souvenirs. This time we were not alone, we met with our colleagues from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

As usual, our departure goes to the destination using the sky train, here is the thing I like. I really like using the sky train, because I can go around and see city sights in Thailand.

The unique thing that I found in Chatucak is chatucak has almost all types by those here, good and cheap food. In addition, there are a lot of tourists from overseas visiting this place to see entertainment, shopping, and so on.

MY HOLIDAY’S IN THAILAND – PART 2

“FLOATING MARKET AMPHAWA”

Saturday, January 19, 2019

Today is the day that I am waiting for because I have longed for my friends from Indonesia. Today is the day I take part in the “Field Trip” activity from the SEA-Teacher Program. The purpose of visits to tourist destinations in Thailand. I visited the market amphawa floating. Just like in Indonesia, Indonesia also has a floating market, but to be honest, this is the first time I have visited a floating market and that is in the State of Thailand. An amazing experience can visit one of the coolest tourist destinations in Thailand.

The journey to Amphawa is also an exciting experience and will never be forgotten. I live in samutprakan, and the location of the destination is very far away. My journey began not alone, I was with my roommate, Kyn from the Philippines, Neung ah and Biyew from VRU, they were students who were apprenticed to become teachers at the satit bangna school.

We leave from our place at 6:00 a.m., and we use a Taxi to the Sky Train Station in Thailand. This is also the first time I ride transportation in Thailand. I really like this transportation, besides being comfortable, I can see the sights of the city of Thailand from the sky train.

The station we boarded at the beginning was Sam-Rong Station and stopped at the far end of the station, Mo-chit Station. After that, we boarded the Taxi again to meet with the group from Bondidecha School at Westgate.

We arrived at the Westgate at 08:00 am. After arriving at Westgate, I met my Indonesian friend and Mrs. Nina. We waited in Halted to wait for the bus to pick up from VRU. Approximately 30 minutes I waited, a group of friends of Sea – Teacher batch 7 came in on the bus. We also enter and go to the destination. It’s really nice to be able to meet again with my friends. we traveled approximately two hours, due to the crowded conditions of the city of Thailand because today is a holiday.

Come to us at the Floating Market, before going to the main place. We are welcome to take a look at King Rama 6 garden area. It is truly a tradition in Thailand. After we were satisfied we saw the area around the park, we also walked to the Floating Market.
This eye is constantly seeing things that are unique, cool, and happy to see the sights and snacks that are there. I bought a lot of food for me to eat, and my friend bought lots of souvenirs to bring to his country.

After being satisfied around, I and my friends climbed a boat and crossed the river to get to the other side of the river. That is “Amazing Thailand” when looking at this place, more or less the same as the Zoo which is on the river bank.

After 3:00 p.m., we returned to the parking lot to get ready to return to where we were staying. We returned to the previous place by boat again, but the path that was passed was not the same, we circled the amphawa river area, truly amazed this view saw the view from the coast of the river Amphawa.
